Audition and career coaching

for Broadway talent,

green and experienced.

Auditions are hard…

Change your approach to the audition process

You’re sick of trying to figure out how to stand out in an audition room. Trying to understand how to be taken seriously. I know you are because I’ve been there. Auditioning is overwhelming. And yet, it’s the thing we as performers spend the most time on. But I want you to think beyond the audition room. Because the career isn’t just about auditioning and performing. There is a whole world of other responsibilities we carry.

  • Prepping our résumés and books

  • Learning pages and pages of sides

  • Staying in dancing shape

  • Keeping our voices nimble and ready

  • Having a closet full of options

  • Knowing the right people

The list goes on and on…

I offer audition and career coaching for Broadway hopefuls and vets alike

I’ve seen thousands of auditionees in hundreds of audition rooms. Trust me, I know what separates the polished pros from the “oh-please-no”s. The good news? With talent and guidance, being a buttoned-up professional is easy.

It definitely took a while for me. But I’m here to help you skip the awkward phase.

Sessions and Offerings

  • I will help you create or expand your dance reel. Once you have a videographer, together, we will choreograph, style, and edit your reel. While I don't love being pinned down by genre, I'm comfortable choreographing:

Tap, Jazz, Street Jazz, Theatre Dance, Ballet, and Contemporary.

  • Whether in a studio or from the comfort of home, I'll be there to help you get comfy with your sides and songs. If you have material for an upcoming audition, I love coaching scenes, songs, and dance. I thrive on helping you find your version of the character while staying true to the material.

If you're taping a scene for a self tape, I'm also available as a coach/reader. With just a little extra guidance, you will shine through your audition tape.

  • Virtual sessions have their drawbacks. But in this post 2020 world, it's easier than ever to hop on a virtual call. I will be in your laptop, offering all the same guidance and assistance.

  • In addition to my services listed above, I am comfortable organizing your audition book and helping you clean up your audition cuts. If you've ever done musical theatre arts and crafts, you'll know what I mean.

  • You got this.

But Why Me?

My name is Travis, and I’m dazzled to meet you! I’m a proud graduate of the University of Michigan where I earned my bachelor of fine arts in Musical Theatre.

Before that, I went to the Walnut Hill School for the Arts. There, I studied dance and theatre. (There’s a story there if we end up working together).

And even before that I was a tiny triple-threat. I attended a magnet middle school for the arts. Yup, performing has been a lifelong pursuit of passion for me. Even as a child, between boy’s choir, dance classes, community theatre productions, Nutcrackers – I was easily logging 30 hours a week! It was a full-time job I paid for before it was my full-time job that I get paid for.

Since graduating from college in 2013, I have gone on to perform in 5 Broadway shows, 3 national tours, and around a dozen regional productions. (Full résumé here)

Spending countless hours on those stages sparked my drive to help others succeed. Contrary to popular belief, there's plenty of success to go around! It’s all about how you conduct yourself in the industry

So let me be your guide! You've spent too long walking this path alone. With some simple coaching, you'll learn to achieve your fullest potential in the audition room and beyond.

As it was taught to me, preparing for your job is the biggest part of the job.

Not knowing how to conduct yourself for auditions can be a sure path to not getting a job. Or at worst, to tarnishing your reputation. I’ve spent days worth of hours worried about my reputation. Mostly from going into auditions completely unprepared.

We spend nauseating amounts of time learning our sides, practicing our choreography, nailing our vocals… And we often still feel as though we’ve fallen short.

You’re not alone. I’ve gone into audition spaces:

🎶 Scared I won’t hit that money note

🎩 Unsure of how to carry myself

🎤 Unsure if I’ve picked the right song

😬 Awkwardly fumbling through banter with casting

🤵🏽‍♂️ Feeling like I’m not dressed right

🪽 Under prepared, or straight up just winging it

My decade of Broadway experience has given me a deep well of knowledge from which to draw. I understand the ins and outs of the audition process. Let me be your secret weapon to help destroy these confidence crushing issues.

And hey, even if you’re a seasoned pro, it’s always helpful to get another set of eyes on your work!

Don't spend another day feeling lost or insecure about your next audition. Together, we will find what helps you thrive. For then, you will go on to thrive in your career. The journey to your wildest Broadway dreams starts today.

Let's get that triple-threat talent of yours primed and ready for your next huge opportunity!
